We had a great time in Goblin Valley over Easter weekend. And, of course, Tommy was in heaven being outside for 24 hours a day with some of his cousins. Much to say the least, he loved it, but wasn't so much into the beautiful scenery, hikes, or other activities. He mostly just wanted to ride the 4-wheeler or sit and dig in the dirt.
Here is Tommy hanging out with Uncle Greg. We eventually had to pry his tiny fingers off of the 4-wheeler.

Roadster Trike
Several months ago we were in Costco. We came across a fabulous red trike and thought we would let Tommy try it out. A half hour later, much to Tommy's dismay, we had to pry his tiny fingers off of the rubber handles and continue our shopping amidst a tiny, terrible, temper tantrum.
So we thought we would get the trike for Tommy's birthday. But we decided just last night that the trike won't do Tommy much good in the middle of winter after his birthday. So out came the tools and Tommy was presented a bi-annual birthday present, I know, spoiled.
He absolutely loved it, he even gave his buddy Luke a lift. Unfortunately for us at the end of the day he wouldn't get off of the trike and another tiny, terrible, temper tantrum erupted.
Big Helper!
Tommy has found that he loves to help out in the kitchen. He loves to cook and clean up, who could ask for more? This is Tommy helping unload the dishwasher, such a big helper!

Just Another Day In Paradise
It is pretty funny, as a Mom you learn to know what your kid is doing without being in the same room with them. I have learned to listen and I generally know exactly what Thomas is doing by the sounds that I hear. The other day I was in one room and Tom was in another and I heard a noise that I don't hear everyday. I thought, what was that? It seemed to be a rustling sound and a bit of crunching. "Tommy?" I called, no answer.
It seems that he became tall enough over night to pull things off of the kitchen table. It seems also that he wanted a Costco sized box of Cheerios to be emptied onto the floor.
He would intermittently stand and mash, mash, mash the Cheerios with this toes, then sit and munch, munch, munch. Yeah, I know, gross.
But really, and I think most mothers would agree, at the end of the day your frazzled, your house is trashed, and while you stagger about sweeping Cheerios, picking up toys, throwing in another batch of laundry, and brushing your teeth all at the same time, it has been just another day in paradise.
I hustled into the kitchen and found my son in the midst of the mystery noise.

So it seems that my friends have blogs, my family has blogs, even the neighbors dog has a blog, so I think the McGee's have been a bit behind. Finally I guess we will take the plunge. Here goes the McGee Family Blog.
I am not really sure what I am doing at this point, but eventually I think it will click.
